Britney named best international pop star

BRITNEY Spears has performed at an awards ceremony in Germany, where she was named best international pop star.
The 26-year-old wore hot pants, fishnet tights and a black top hat as she took to the stage with new single Womanizer.
She then collected her Bambi award from designer Karl Lagerfeld, who said she had come back “not only as a phoenix but as a bird of paradise.”

Taylor Swift's Fearless hits No. 1 on Billboard's albums chart for a third time, selling 330,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. She outsold debuts by Keyshia Cole, whose A Different Me moved a career-best 322,000 copies for the R&B singer, and Jamie Foxx's Intuition, which sold 265,000. Fall Out Boy's new Folie a Deux placed eighth, selling 150,000. Rounding out the rest of the top 10: Britney Spears' Circus (No. 4, 196,000 copies), Beyonce's I Am รข€¦ Sasha Fierce (No. 5, 195,000), Nickelback's Dark Horse (No. 6, 194,000), the Twilight soundtrack (No. 7, 156,000), AC/DC's Black Ice (No. 9, 143,000) and the Now 29 compilation (No. 10, 139,000).
Other debuts included Anthony Hamilton's The Point of It All (133,000), Plies' Da Realist (114,000), All-American Rejects' When the World Comes Down (112,000) and Soulja Boy Tell 'Em's iSouljaBoyTellem (46,000).
At 17.2 million units, album sales this week are up 33% over the previous week, but down 33% from the same week in 2007, when 25.6 million albums were sold.
